Elephant calf Lola dies of pulmonary embolism shortly before oper

Three month old Lola later died because of a pulmonary embolism, according the Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich. She was suppose to undergo a heart operation at Grosshadern Clinic, but during preparations for the operation, Lola died of a pulmonary embolism during an examination in a CT scanner and couldn’t be revived.
